  I was visiting Gowanda to do some fishing in the Zoar Valley's Cattaraugus Creek and needed a nearby hotel. The Palm Gardens filled that need. On the plus side, the room was reasonably priced, clean and had a good WiFi connection. It is also close to plenty of restaurants and a Tim Horton's Coffee House. The hotel is only a 15-minute drive to Valentine Flats Read parking area on Cattaraugus Creek. There also an attached bar hotel. On the downside, the rooms are sparsely furnished and old. My bed was very hard. Security is poor. My door was flimsy and only had door chain attached to the trim with small wood screws. I'm sure it could be opened in short order by anyone that had a mind to do so.

  THIS PLACE IS ASHAME..THE OWNER RATHER BE DRUNK AT THE BAR WITH HIS BUDDIES THEN TEND TO HIS CLIENTEL. THE ROOMS ARE OVERPRICED AND LACK THE CARE AND QUALITY OF A MOTEL.
  THEIR RATES ARE OVERPRICED AND THE QUALITY OF THE ROOM, FALLS WAY UNDER POVERTY LEVEL.
  IF YOU DRIVE TO VISIT RELATIVES AT THE NEAR BY FACITILTY, I SUGGEST YOU DRIVE AN EXTRA 20MIN AND STAY A MUCH BETTER PROPERTIES
